About this audiobook
Our naughtiest national treasure and Number 1 bestselling author takes on Britain and the British
'It starts with the title - the joy of a Full English Breakfast is in the way wildly different things pile together onto the plate to make a delicious whole. And well, that's the real secret of Britain and the British for me - not shutting things out but welcoming in more. I mean, even our flag is called the UNION Jack.'
If you've ever wondered why we are so obsessed with QUEUING, we love SMUT but are terrified of SEX, or how come there are no toilets in the whole of Britain then this book is for you. From SORRY to NICE, from KIPPERS to THE KING and from the strange history of the STIFF UPPER LIP to the Jewish gift to the nation that is FISH AND CHIPS, Miriam's Full English is packed with treats and tasty surprises
'I want to get to the heart of the past, present and future of our wonderful eccentric nations. So this is a book about YOU but it's also a book about ME. Expect memories & mammaries, Arsenal & arseholes, politics, filth, and absolutely everything in between. It's time to make Britain great again, and let's do it together, one story at a time.'
