About this app

RepCount is a gym workout tracker for strength training and weight lifting. Log every set, rep and weight in a few taps, follow your own routines, and see whether you are getting stronger. The workout tracker is free, with no ads and no limit on workouts, routines or exercises.

Every workout starts with the weights and reps from last time, so you always know what to beat. That makes progressive overload simple, whether you lift for powerlifting, bodybuilding or general strength, or you are starting your first training plan.

Use the workout planner to run your own program or a classic split: push/pull/legs, upper/lower, full body or 5x5. Powerlifters use it as a weight lifting tracker for squat, bench press and deadlift, bodybuilders keep a workout log of every set and rep, and calisthenics and home-gym training work too, with bodyweight, assisted and weighted bodyweight exercises.

Log a workout
• The workout tracker fills in the weights and reps from your last session
• 12 exercise types, from weight and reps to bodyweight, assisted, timed holds, farmer's walks and cardio, so it works as an exercise tracker on cardio days too
• Warm-up sets, plus notes on every set, exercise and workout
• A rest timer that can start when you complete a set and keeps running on your lock screen

Routines: your workout planner
• Build your own routines, or start from Push, Pull, Legs and Full Body
• Save any workout as a routine, or repeat a past workout
• Add your own exercises to the exercise tracker. Built-in exercises show a demo and the muscles they work

Your gym log, backed up
• Sign in with Google, Apple or email to back up your gym log and sync it between Android and iPhone
• The workout tracker works offline, even in a basement gym
• Saves your workouts and body weight to Health Connect

RepCount Premium
Premium adds analysis on top of the free gym tracker:
• Charts of estimated one-rep max, heaviest weight, volume, sets and reps per exercise, plus workout frequency, duration and body weight
• Personal records for every rep range, all-time and for each year
• Exercise history and charts right from the workout screen
• Supersets and drop sets
• Export your workouts to Excel (CSV)
• Duplicate routines, copy several sets at once, and more rest timer sounds

Premium is a monthly or yearly subscription. Everything else in the workout tracker stays free.

Questions lifters ask
Is the RepCount app free? Yes. Logging, routines, the rest timer, backup, sync and Health Connect are free and ad-free. Premium adds charts, records, supersets, drop sets and export.
Is it a workout tracker for beginners or experienced lifters? Both. Beginners get a simple gym tracker with ready-made Push, Pull, Legs and Full Body routines, and experienced lifters build their own program.
Can I use it as a workout journal? Yes. Add notes to every set, exercise and workout, and look back through your workout log month by month.
Do I need an account? No. Install the app and start logging right away. Sign in with Google, Apple or email to back up your log and get it back on a new phone.
Can I track my one-rep max? Yes. With Premium, RepCount estimates your one-rep max from every set and charts it over time, so you can see your strength go up without testing a true max.

The RepCount workout tracker has been downloaded more than 2 million times on Android and iPhone. Questions or ideas? Email feedback@repcountapp.com. We read and answer every message.

Absolutely fantastic app, perfect even for the free version to keep track of workouts. I'm just getting back into lifting after a couple of decades off and this app is perfect for keeping track. One suggestion, when adding exercises - having the ability to upload a photo to the exercise would be really helpful. I'm getting my workouts from magazines and sometimes having a picture to reference the exercise would be helpful.

Excellent app, especially for a newbie like me. If I could make a suggestion? If links could be enabled in the notes section. Sometimes you come across a workout that's different you want to try, or an alternative to one you're doing. It's great trying to describe a workout, but it's better if there's a link to remind you of form and technique on a web page or video. Other than that no problems hear! Enables quick input of reps and sets with stored information regarding previous exercises.

Thank you so much Alan! It is not possible to add links in the per set notes and since they are edited on tap, I can't change that. However you can already add links in the per exercise notes. If you tap the more button next to the exercise, and then "Add Note", then you can already any link you want ;) //Simon

I have tried most of the gym logging apps available between 2000 - 2023. This is is the best one. I can use the super set function to create both super sets and drop sets. It is simple to navigate and use with a logical layout. My font size needs to be big so it did cause me a slight issue with creating names when editing lists but this isn't something you need to do more than once. I did contact developer for help and they responded quickly. I paid for a year after using free. It is worth it.
