So far so good. It doesn't insist that I log in, I can use it as a "guest". Even so, it gives the full schedule, in time order, and updates results instantly. I can click into the results to find times etc. And I can see the full medals table, and click into each country to get details of sports & names. Ads are small so not particularly obtrusive. That's everything I wanted! Very happy, for a temporary short-term app.

I use this app to watch IFSC, the only free app for it due to geolocation blocking of youtube. Since the latest update any video immediately crashes. Cannot cast from the website to my TV. I want three functions from the app. 1. Give me a list of the climbing comps without spoilers: it cannot do that. 2. Open the videos of the comp and play them: it can no longer do that. 3. Cast them to my tv. It can no longer do that. Worst. Update. Ever.

Dear User, We apologize for your unsatisfactory experience. We would like to inform you that we are currently transitioning to the Paris 2024 app, which may cause some features to be temporarily unavailable. As a temporary solution, we suggest accessing these videos on Olympics.com.

There are more important things in the Olympics than an app/website however both are an important part of engagement and the fan experience. An absolute minimum for an Olympics app/website should be the ability to easily select a sport (no such option exists on the menu) and see the details for that event. As an example the group tables for rugby sevens are nowhere to be found. Wikipedia has done a far better job of this. There are also bits of half finished code that show up in the app!
