Genuinely very enjoyable gameplay and story. Reminiscent of golden era Pokémon games but stands on its own as a concept. The humour is good and doesn't feel childish. Some of the monster designs are a bit lacking but there are some real gems. The levelling progression and ability to roam about the map without being level gated feels much better than other games with forced path progression. A charming and nostalgic reimagining of the genre!

Was looking for a Pokémon substitute (like most) and was surprised by the quality of the game. Combat may feel less charming than Pokémon, but it delivers in all the necessary components I was looking for - the RPG elements, grind mechanics, story progression, mini puzzles, and most importantly, the quest to catch them all. To be honest, I was pleasantly surprised by the story. It doesn't take itself too seriously (which made me laugh more than most other games). Overall, 9.5/10!

Very well thought out pokemon substitute. There's a storyline to it. Your partner is quite funny and makes 4th wall jokes. Gameplay is good with no requirement to spend any money(apart from getting the full game for about £3, which is well worth it). You can also come back to trainers you've battled and battle them again, which is refreshing. I've never written a review before, but this is worth my time doing so. Well done to the creators!!!
