I'm just under halfway through the game and throwing the towel in. Drop rates for upgrades are pathetic. The developers have a really nice game but the pay wall ruins it. The top purchase of in-game currency is over £90 and I'm sure even that wouldn't secure any of the upgrades required to finish the game. If they charged £5 for an ad free, well balanced version which fixed the upgrade drop rate they would probably make a lot more money, and more people would get to see the end game content!

There is a fun game in here, but I can't give it a good review because the grind is ridiculous. The later you go in the game the slower you progress and the faster the difficulty ramps up. You find yourself using up all your energy just grinding for upgrades which can take forever to do. It seems like they are strongly wanting you to plumb for the paid currency, but looking at them, they are really expensive for something that will not get you very far.

I'm not the biggest fan of the Bejeweled genre but a lot of the choices give this game a distinct feel mainly stemming from the planning and execution phases of the game going from slow and methodical to fast and often frantic as one tries to match extra rows within a time limit. The visuals are very cute and as of a few days playing it doesn't feel like it's pushing for you to buy extra lives.
