Another example of "labour saving" technology not saving labour, time or money, yet I'm given little choice weather to use it or not. I'll copy my rotas from an office desk top because using the app doesn't seem to be an option and the browser version is super laggy and barely works but only on chrome. no I will not be emailing payday support, as my review response suggested because I have already wasted all the time I'm going to waste on this app. app deleted.

The company switched over from manual timesheets to this app, and it's not been good as the amount of goodwill and work fluency has gone right out of the window. Now everyone is working to rule, and I'm sure this app tracks your location as it asks you to turn on GPS when it's off. As a delivery driver, I'd sometimes run over my shift time, and that was accounted for in the timesheet. Now, I'll be cutting deliveries to get back in time.

10/10 for creepiness. There is no way Planday should have access to my contacts. GPS is always on, not just when I clock in/out. ...and having read the response, entirely inappropriate. "To make it easier", not easier for me, seems my friends - those in my contacts aren't colleagues, so how's it easier for them? Wonder if creepy Planday are selling data too. Interestingly, the reponse below doesn't mention whether or not they're selling data.

Hi, we're sorry to hear that you have privacy concerns. Access to contacts is used only with permission to make it easy to create new people. Location is used only when the app is in the foreground and at that time it's used for Punch Clock, Planday doesn't track, save, or share the location. Permission for both can be revoked in phone settings.
