Pirates Outlaws is an indie roguelike card game in which you navigate dangerous seas and challenge their masters. Your expedition will be full of ambushes and will not be easy.

16 heroes available with unique abilities and pre-made decks. More than 700 cards and 200 relics to collect. Play your cards and manage your Ammo for the best combo. Defeat 150+ outlaws and 60＋ unique bosses in a turn-based combat system.

3 game modes can be enjoyed.

NAVIGATE
In Navigate mode you manage your expedition on varied horizons to discover and battle pirates and outlaws that stand on your path. You can unlock up to 7 maps and chapters with their own difficulty and secret.

Once repute reaches 9999, Hard Mode auto-unlock. Harsher environments and stronger enemies. Each chapter also has its unique challenge in Hard Mode.

ARENA
In the dust of the arena, you will face every 10 battles a powerful Champion. To reach the top, you must choose among the cards and relics from all 7 chapters. A place for all pirates in need of challenge.

TAVERN BRAWL
Test your strength and knowledge over a drink at the tavern. Choose pre-made packages before each battle and defeat the wave of pirates. After the 2 battles, defeat the imposing Tavern Keeper.

A competent clone of Slay the Spire. Interesting theme and nice art. I've played a bit but have slowed down recently as the game is very geared towards IAP; making progression extremely slow. The deck bulling and combat play lacks depth, with only a few builds really being viable. All-in-all, quite fun for a short while, but quickly grows tedious.

It was fun. At one point I had acquired a pretty good pool of cards that allowed me a chance of getting a good deck on each play through. I would often have a reasonably good chance of killing all the bosses. But there comes a point in this game where the pool of random cards becomes so large that the chance of ever getting a good deck again is near impossible. You NEED a way to select which cards have a higher chance of appearing, otherwise there's no hope of winning.

Mixed opinions on this game. I've put a lot of hours into it and am a little addicted. The game mechanics are solid. However, as others have mentioned, the grind is absolutely ridiculous. It's unplayable without the booster upgrade which I think cost £2.50. EVEN THEN, whilst the game is still fun, there's virtually no progression because all goals are completely unachievable. From one game dev to another - balance your game and it will be fantastic. Needs achievable goals avoid frustration :)
