Mostly helpful, but some core features are unreliable. When you delete a photo on Android, it gets renamed as a dot file (.trashed[xyz...]). Unfortunately this app doesn't discern between dot files and normal files, so they get uploaded anyway. I have to log into my instance to delete all the photos that were already deleted on my phone. The other main issue is file sync to device doesn't really seem to work. You mark files for offline access, but it only downloads a few then gives up.

Deeply disappointing. I spent time getting a fully backed up NAS set up in my private network with a Nextcloud instance running. I was excited to have my own cloud for backing up photos instead of having to use Google. Only the Nextcloud client is so poor and unreliable I feel like I have wasted my time. Auto-upload does not work reliably. I have no idea what has been backed up and what hasn't. I am afraid to delete anything on Nextcloud in case it deletes it from the phone. It's an utter mess.

It doesn't always sync properly - specifically the app. The data exists perfectly fine on the server. I can see the file using the web URL on any device from any machine. It doesn't always update on the nextcloud app nor does it download it to my phone so I can see it locally (for example, syncing Obsidian notes). It's really annoying. File uploads work even less.
