The app itself is useful but it has become so slow, laggy, and it keeps stopping my music every time I open it, even with the (annoying) autoplay videos muted, even on pages with no video or audio content at all (like the app settings). It stops the music constantly and I don't want to use an app that's doing that when I'm just browsing what to watch or adding things to a list. I'm not going to use the app at all until this changes and I'll look for an alternative.

I love the JW service in general - and make a lot of use of it on PC. The app is slick and functional, but seems to completely lack functionality for my use case, which I can't imagine is uncommon - it pretty much negates the point of the 'watchlist': I have access to Amazon Prime, Netflix and Sky Movies. I add films regularly to my watchlist. Movie night, I want to filter by these providers to see what I can watch without paying (and preferably be able to save that as a default filter). But the app does not allow filtering by provider, which makes it pretty much useless! So it's back to the PC... Seriously, how can this be missing?!! OK, the comment on this review pointed out that the providers can be filtered behind the 'three dots' in the corner. Whilst this takes away the concern I expressed, I can't help thinking this is an odd way to present it - why is it any different from any other filter element?

of course – that is a basic use case and our app actually supports it. Can you have a look in your provider settings (three dots menu on top right) and double check that only your available services are marked? If they are marked, you should see a filterbar at the top of your Watchlist. Contact us anytime at feedback@justwatch.com

Really useful app if you're looking for new TV series or films to watch. Simply tell the app what streaming services you use and then search for something you've watched previously and enjoyed and it will show you recommendations based on what others with a similar taste have watched. As well as that you can keep track of what you've watched and get notifications when new episodes are released or if something you want to watch has become available on a streaming service you use.
