Seems to be a legitimately free game without significant forces pushing you towards paying. You'll need to replay (and fail) some levels in order to grind out enough cash for research to beat those levels, but it's not face-melting grind, it's just asking you to play the game a bit, and there are plenty of legitimate ingame reasons to do so. I'll probably end up throwing in five or ten bucks to get heroes or hero upgrades, and to encourage more devs to take this kind of route with their games.

Yep - as other people have said, this game is great! No crappy paywell gobsh**t, you could pay to help you out with more power-ups if you suck at the game, but learn the ropes and the techniques and you'll get there without! (not completed the game yet mind you!). Played Kingdom Rush for ages about 2 years ago and really enjoyed - I much prefer this story/context though; fun, original and quirky time-setting. Thanks TD!

Finally a game that has a great f2p part of the game and no energy. I can just keep playing. I find there are glitches with wave 4 and 5 on most maps it's a pain please sort it because I am enjoying this game. Not pushing me to buy which is great and I can use coins to level up which is great because of that and many other reasons i would purchase in game boosts etc. Good job guys your a Gandhi have wanted for a long time. Still early but other modes would also be great .
