I wouldn't want to be without this app. It is well planned and has an excellent GUI. I use it mostly on a tablet or computer, but I use the phone when I'm doing something else. I particularly like that it remembers what I was watching or where I was in the programme. I also like its stability...not asking for constant updates and it works on older phones The BBC has a huge accessible archive ....it's a hugely enjoyable rabbit hole. You can download your media and take it holiday.

Some great content but the app itself is terrible, especially on the tv. It buffers all the time despite Internet being fine (other apps don't buffer) pausing doesn't seem to load the video, even after 5+ minutes. impossible to get even slightly immersed in the content when it operates this poorly. why not just load the whole video before it plays?! I'd rather that than constant buffering, it's infuriating. Hardly worth the TV license at this point.

Like the way it works. Holds the place if I have to interrupt my viewing. When I return to a series jumps to the next episode, saving me time looking for it. Easy to find what I want to watch with excellent search. There was a problem with Chromecast which made me realise how much I relied on iPlayer for entertainment. It’s now fixed, but to my surprise, the fix wasn’t applied automatically. I had to go to iPlayer in Google Play store and update from there.
